KlimaExpo is the national exhibition dedicated to the actors and solutions of the climate cause. KlimaExpo acts as a prelude to COP27. This event, organised by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development, is a place of inspiration, learning and discussion for everyone who is interested in or concerned by the topic of global warming.
Our objectives are multiple. Removing any fear, any inhibition or misunderstanding people may have about the climate cause. Explaining, showing contributions to the climate cause – failures included. Getting people to chat with each other about climate. Promoting climate knowledge. Making more space for this topic on the political agendas. Allowing more visibility to gain public attention as well as engaging the medias and social networks. In short, we want to accelerate the progress of the climate cause.
This year’s edition builds on the excellent start made last year. 30-40 exhibitors will present the concrete initiatives and projects they are currently working on. These actors of change can be climate and environmental NGOs, but also institutions, administrations, associations, cooperatives, energy partnerships, etc. This fair, which intends to be a source of inspiration for various types of interests, focuses mainly on concrete solutions that prove that the transition to climate-friendly lifestyles is possible and can be socially equitable. Together with “Housing Week” and “Home Expo” we are able to offer a broader and more diverse event experience with a common denominator. The three fairs will present products, solutions or initiatives that respond to the many challenges we face as a society: global warming, the biodiversity crisis, resource scarcity, sustainable development, etc.
MEETING PLACES
Attend the workshops/conferences that will take place over 3 days, meet the actors who are committed to the climate cause and participate in workshops dedicated to high school and university students.
THE EXHIBITION
“The Climate Countdown – The Road to 2050” presents the common efforts in the global fight for climate protection as well as the part Luxembourg has to play.
THE village
Meet the main actors of the climate cause such as NGOs, associations and business representatives of companies and learn about state and municipal initiatives in this area.
